5k Review: Run for the Kids

Saturday was my 10th race for this year!!! I feel pretty proud that I've done 10 races so far this year. Can't wait to do more.
So onto the race, it was a pretty easy and COLD race. Woke up at 6 a.m. and took a step outside to see just how cold it was. Holy butt it was FREEZING. It's a good thing I packed warm clothes to wear.
Race started at 7 a.m. and it was about 55 degrees out so you could say I was freezing but quickly warmed up after 3 miles. :)
It was a small race, only about 300 people a ton of little kids which was totally cute to watch. Well watch as the passes me by because I'm very slow.
Other than having a small cold and not being able to really breath out my nose and it being only 55 degrees out it was a pretty good run.
Also, my mom and cousin Shelley did this one too.  It's so much fun doing races with other people I know. Makes running even more fun.

Now for some pictures from the weekend! Went to a KC Chiefs game with some amazing friends!

BTW aren't my friends BEAUTIES!

  3. Dear Keyona, I recently visited Kansas City for a wedding and enjoyed the visit. Hopefully I will visit again soon. Great job on the race! I haven't done a 5K in a long time. It got too hot in OKC for me to get out there. I'll be running again real soon. My goal is to do another 10k and gear up for a half (that sounds pretty crazy to me still.)
