The hubs and I are going out of town for 10 days!! Don’t worry I will still be posting just not as many recipes as I would like.
We are taking our vacation finally and going to Springfield! I know if you have been following me long you know we are always going to Springfield. It’s our home away from home! And since gas is pricy it would cost too much to go anywhere else. So we decided just to take a few days and hang out with all our amazing friends and do all the things we want to do but don’t normally get a chance to do. We are super excited but packing clothes for 10 days for two people can be a pain and packing workout gear is worse! I don’t have enough shirts, sports bra or pants. Guess that means I’ll have to do a little shopping! J
So since we are going for so long and staying at our amazing friend’s house we won’t be eating out every meal which is REALLY nice!! I mean they have some good restaurants and I know we will eat out some but I did not want to the whole time we were there. This girl is still trying to lose 50 more pounds! I was trying to think of some easy snacks I could make and take along the way. I thought of Pita Chips! What’s better than a homemade, delicious, crunchy pita chip? I mean come on these things are amazing! And did I mention they are only 20 calories for 15 chips! Yea I know 20 small calories for such a great treat!
These are great treat for the whole family. Easy to make and travel with. Oh and I’m sure kids will love this. Enjoy!!!
Total time: 30 minutes
§ 4 whole pieces of whole wheat pita bread
§ 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
§ ½ teaspoon black pepper
§ 1 ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
§ 2 teaspoons paprika
§ ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning
§ ½ cup Parmesan cheese
1. Preheat over 400 degrees. Place wire cooling rack on baking sheet and spray with nonstick spray.
2. Cut pita into 8 pieces with a pizza cutter. Then place on wire rack.
3. Mix all season together in bowl.
4. Sprinkle mixture on top of pita chips.
5. Sprinkle cheese on top. Then spray cooking spray to help seasoning and cheese stick.
6. Bake about 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
