Pizza and good BBQ are probably a favorite in my house hold. My husband would eat pizza every single day if I really let him and during the summer I love BBQ. I mean who doesn’t love it. So when I thought why not do a BBQ Chicken Pizza, I was thinking it’s a great idea and I bet there isn’t a recipe out there yet. Only to Google it and find out there’s a TON of them out there!! Have you ever had a great idea and thought surly no one has ever done it before only to find out almost everyone has? I know, bummer!
I still wanted to make this delicious pizza so I could share with all my peeps! I wanted it to be light but filling, delish and healthy and it is perfect. It’s cheesy and BBQ’ie (like my new word! HA) Plus, it’s totally kid-friendly and they could help you make this. Also a nice perk, you don’t have to slave away making homemade pizza crust. This pizza only takes about 10 minutes to prep, how awesome is that for busy working families! I know it’s amazing! Enjoy this one!
Total time: 10 minutes prep, 13 minutes cooking
§ 2 high fiber/low calories wrap (I used Flatout Flatbread)
§ 1 cup shredded chicken (I just used leftover roasted chicken)
§ ½ BBQ sauce
§ ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
§ ½ cup mozzarella cheese
§ Optional topping: tomato, red onion
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Put the wraps on a pizza stone, or lightly spray nonstick spray to a cooking sheet. Don’t crowd the wraps.
3. Spread sauce evenly on both wraps
4. Sprinkle the chicken, Parmesan, mozzarella and any additional topping.
5. Bake pizza for about 12-14 minutes or until cheese is melted.
6. Let it rest for 2 minutes before cutting it.
Enjoy a healthy happy life J
