First 5k... & 25 down


So I’ve been doing a lot of jogging/walking lately because it’s been so nice out and let’s face it, its way better than the gym! I decided about two weeks ago I wanted to sign up for a 5k. Yesterday I finally did it. I registered for my first 5k that will take place March 31.

Running is something I’ve always kind of wanted to do but hate running on the treadmill so I just never did it. After watching this season of The Biggest Loser I have this fire in me that really want to become a runner and say I can run a mile!  It’s been so nice lately and I don’t want to get burnt out from going to the gym so much that I’ve been doing a lot of walking around the park. I‘ve actually started adding more and more jogging into my miles the more I do it. I knew the only way to really push myself and work up to becoming a “runner” was to sign up for a 5k. So I did just that. I’m scared and excited all at the same time. I really just want to finish it; I don’t care if I’m last to cross the finish line, I just want to prove to myself that I can do it. With the help of family, friends and my amazing hubby they are pushing me (in a good way) and letting me know I can do anything I put my mind to so I’m pretty damn excited I will be completing my first 5k in a matter of 3 weeks!!!

Just thought I would share this exciting news with all my followers. I’m so excited and can’t wait to post pictures and tell you all about my first experience as a runner. So wish me luck!! By the way I know I haven't updated my weight loss in a while so I thought I would also share I've lost 25 pounds so far!
