My most Romantic story... So far

Picture taken sometime early 2011

 Oh Valentine’s Day…

Ok I won’t lie. I do LOVE Valentine’s Day. I’m one of those girly girls that loves a good love story and romantic movie! I will say even though this is one of my favorite holidays my husband doesn’t go overboard and send me flowers, get chocolates and plan something really romantic. I say this because he makes me fill loved every single day! He lets me know how much he cares for me and how much I mean to him. I know most of you are thinking, “You’re still newlyweds wait till you’ve been together for 10 years.”  I still think in 10 years he will do the same thing. I have an amazing guy! Since its Valentine’s Day I thought I would share one love story about my man asking me to be his wife instead of some boring health food story. I hope you all have an amazing day!!!

Chris and I met at church camp when we were 12. Remember this…

On September 12, 2010 it was just a normal day; until I got asked the most amazing question I will ever be asked. Like every other Sunday (before we went healthy) we always go to out for breakfast and head to the store to get a few things for the week. As we were getting dressed for the day Chris told me we had to be back by noon because it was opening day of NFL Football (huge Pats fan in this house). So we go to town and Chris gets gas and we are headed to what I think is breakfast. Then he hands to a hankie and tells me to put it on like a blind fold. I’m thinking what in the hell is going on and what in the hell are people going to think driving through town! I just knew we were going to get pulled over because it probably looked like I was being kidnapped! HAHA

So as we are driving through town (we just have one road that goes through town) we hit what I think is the last stop light in the city limits and take a left. I’m still praying we don’t get pulled over. We drive which seems like hours to me but really it was only like 10 minutes. We hit a gravel road and the car stops. Now I had no idea where he was going because we were northwest of town and I just knew he didn’t know any gravel roads out that was and had no idea what was coming. He parks the cars and helps me get out. I stood there waiting for him to tell me to take my blind fold off. When I did, it took me a minute to figure out where we were. We were standing at church camp where we first met 10 years ago at the age of 12. I was really confused because I didn’t have any idea an engagement was coming out of this trip. I turned around to see Chris on one knee and I just broke down and started bawling. See I’d been waiting for this day forever! I finally heard him pop the question over me crying and said YES!!!!! Nine months later on June 4th, 2011 we had the most beautiful wedding ever! I love every minute I have with him!

Chris is totally the love of my life. He’s my rock, best friend, prince, loving and caring husband that I always knew I deserved. No he’s not the most romantic guy like in the movies I love watching and cry every time I see them. But I don’t need that, nor do I want it. I just want him to come home every night and kiss me telling me how much he cares about me and he does this each and every day! I can’t imagine my life without him! I love you Chris!
